St-Nom-la-Bretèche, France – Five-time Major champion Brooks Koepka, a LIV Golf player since 2022, is set to make history as he tees off at the Fedex Open of France this week. The relocated event, held at St-Nom-la-Bretèche (78), will feature a total of 27 French players, including Koepka and local amateur favorite Aaron Van Hauwe.

Koepka’s Star Power Iterates French Golf’s Rising Potential

The Florida-born golfer, who has won three PGA Championships and two U.S. Opens, has received an invite for the category 6A. Other invited international players include Englishmen Matthew Southgate and Chris Wood, Spaniard Pablo Ereno, and German Freddy Schott.

Koepka, who turns 34 this week, has missed cuts in his previous two starts on the DP World Tour at the Irish Open and BMW PGA Championship. However, his presence at the Fedex Open promises an exciting week for golf fans in France and beyond.

French Favorites and Homegrown Talent

Julien Quesne, a 44-year-old Manceau, also secured a spot at the Fedex Open following the entry of Bastien Amat via category 18. Quesne, a three-time winner on the Challenge Tour in 2013, will be teeing off for the 12th time in the French Open, with a best finish of tied 9th in 2016.

The local field will also include four amateurs: Alexis Leray, Ugo Malcor, Noa Roy, and Aaron Van Hauwe. Van Hauwe, the 2025 French Amateur Champion, will play on his home course.
