Henderson Secures Victory by a Stroke Over Lee

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Canadian golfing prodigy Brooke Henderson has once again claimed the CPKC Women’s Open title, outplaying the world’s fourth-ranked golfer, Minjee Lee of Australia. Henderson’s 4-under 68 in the final round at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club was enough to secure a 15-under 269 finish, one stroke ahead of Lee.

Trailing Lee by one stroke entering the 14th hole, Henderson sank a 6-foot birdie putt, helping her regain the lead. She then followed a Lee birdie on the 17th with a 12-footer of her own to maintain her advantage until the end.

Being pretty close to home, it was very similar to a lot of courses I grew up playing on, so just very comfortable that way,” she said.
