Brooke Henderson Triumphs at CP Women’s Open, Wins Title in Dramatic Fashion

Henderson Secures Victory by a Stroke Over Lee

MISSISSAUGA, Ontario — Canadian golfing prodigy Brooke Henderson has once again claimed the CPKC Women’s Open title, outplaying the world’s fourth-ranked golfer, Minjee Lee of Australia. Henderson’s 4-under 68 in the final round at Mississaugua Golf and Country Club was enough to secure a 15-under 269 finish, one stroke ahead of Lee.

Henderson’s Climactic Moments

Trailing Lee by one stroke entering the 14th hole, Henderson sank a 6-foot birdie putt, helping her regain the lead. She then followed a Lee birdie on the 17th with a 12-footer of her own to maintain her advantage until the end.

Henderson’s Jubilant Reaction

“This week was beyond special. To be able to finish it off and hoist the trophy again is extremely cool.”

Henderson, who won her first LPGA Tour title in 2015 at the age of 18, reflected on her emotional victory. “Honestly, I’m surprised I’m not crying right now because it just means so much,” she added.

Henderson’s Comfort Zone

A resident of nearby Smith Falls, Ontario, Henderson’s familiarity with the tree-lined layout of Mississaugua was evident. “I love traditional golf courses. I love tree-lined courses. Being pretty close to home, it was very similar to a lot of courses I grew up playing on, so just very comfortable that way,” she said.
