Motihari: It is said that no matter how far a criminal runs after committing a crime, one day he has to face the punishment for his actions. One such case has come to light from Motihari. In the year 2005, when the terror of Naxalite organization was at its peak in Motihari. Then Jitendra Singh, head of Betauna Panchayat of Naxal-affected area Patahi, was murdered by Naxalites outside his house. The Naxalites brutally murdered Chief Jitendra Singh and during this also created a lot of chaos at his house. At that time, Mukhiya Jitendra Singh and his wife Rita Singh were alone at home.
People suffering from the terror of Naxalites then formed Azad Hind Fauj. Hurt by the murder of her husband by Naxalites, Rita Singh also joined Azad Hind Fauj. Azad Hind Fauj, formed with the aim of taking on the Naxalites, faced many allegations including levy and murder. Later, the police started arresting people associated with Azad Hind Fauj and sending them to jail. Seeing the strict police action against Azad Hind Fauj, Rita Singh started living in hiding. During this period, about ten murder and extortion cases were registered against Rita Singh.
Here, hiding her identity, Rita Singh joined the Art of Living and started teaching yoga to people to stay healthy. Just a few days ago, when new SP Swarn Prabhat took charge of Motihari, he prepared a list of absconding and notorious criminals of the district. While making the list, Pakdidayal SDPO Subodh Kumar gave information about Rita Singh, who was absconding for years, to Motihar SP. Then Rita Singh’s name was included in the list of absconding criminals and a reward of fifty thousand rupees was announced on her.
As soon as the reward was announced, STF was formed under the leadership of Pakridayal SDPO Subodh Kumar. STF team started tracking the case and people in contact with Rita Singh. Meanwhile, the police received information that Rita Singh had joined the Art of Living. After being associated with Art of Living, Rita Singh had gone to many jails of Bihar and Jharkhand and conducted yoga training programs for the prisoners. Now the challenge for Motihari police was how to find Rita in such a big organization so that Rita Singh does not get detected and she gets arrested.

Then Motihari Police started working on technical input. When Motihari police started tracking Rita Singh’s mobile, her location was found to be Gaya. What happened next? In a hurry, the Motihari police team led by Pakdidayal SDPO Subodh Kumar left for Gaya. However, during this time perhaps Rita Singh had also become aware that Motihari Police was after her. Rita Singh reached Gaya railway station to leave but by then Motihari police had reached very close. Police arrested Rita Singh who was standing at the railway station in white clothes and took her to Motihari.
