Benijófar Celebrates International Women’s Day with Week-Long Series of Free Events

Benijófar, Spain – The Department of Equality of the Benijófar Town Hall is organizing a diverse range of free activities between Sunday, March 1st and Sunday, March 8th, 2026, to commemorate International Women’s Day (8M).

A Full Schedule of Events

The program offers something for everyone, from fitness and wellness to insightful discussions and cultural experiences. Here’s a breakdown of the week’s events:

  • Tuesday, March 3rd, 7:30 PM: Class of yoga ‘vinyasa’ taught by Yolanda Rodríguez, held in the classroom of the Municipal Sports Center building. The activity will focus on conscious movement what unites breathing and fluidity in each pose.
  • Wednesday, March 4th, 7:30 PM: A dynamic talk titled ‘Tips for preventing toxic relationships’, led by Leticia Beltrán, coordinator of the Social Work Unit of the Health Department of ‘Elx-Crevillent’, at the House of Culture.
  • Thursday, March 5th, 7:30 PM: A ‘Master class’ entitled ‘Special training for women’, instructed by Rocío Padilla, on the covered track of the Municipal Sports Center.
  • Friday, March 6th, 7:30 PM: A workshop of bachata led by Julia Marín Alberca, a member of the ‘Sofía Sánchez’ dance school, in the body expression classroom of the House of Culture.
  • Saturday, March 7th, 2:00 PM: A celebratory meal for International Women’s Day at the ‘Villa Monica’ estate in Dolores. Departure by bus from the House of Culture is scheduled for 1:45 PM. The menu costs 43 euros, reduced to 25 euros for Benijófar residents, with the City Council subsidizing the difference.
  • Sunday, March 8th, 5:30 PM: A film screening of the Spanish film ‘Five little wolves’ (2022), directed by Alauda Ruiz de Azúa and starring Laia Costa, Susi Sanchez, Ramon Barea, and others, in the auditorium of the House of Culture. The film is not recommended for children under 12. The film won five awards at the Malaga Festival 2022, including best movie and script.

About “Five Little Wolves”
