NAPA, Calif. – Ben Griffin, selected by Keegan Bradley for the Ryder Cup, took control at the Procore Championship on Friday, leading Team USA’s assault in the first event of the FedEx Fall series. Griffin, liberated from the pressure of securing his card,Τdefinitions topped the leaderboard with a bogey-free 66 on the North Course at the Silverado Resort, ending the day in solo first place at 10 under par.

Griffin Thrives on Freedom

“I feel a lot more at ease since Keegan picked me,” Griffin admitted. “There was a lot on the line for me during the playoffs. Being a part of the Ryder Cup team and everything else … I wasn’t necessarily anxious on the course, but I was certainly more anxious between shots. This week, I really have nothing to lose.”

Did you know? Griffin’s lowest round on the PGA Tour is 62, achieved twice – once at the 2024 Honda Classic and again at the 2025 PLAYERS Championship.

USA bunch near the top

  • Russell Henley, who won the Barbasol Championship earlier this year, signed for a 68 to trail Griffin by three shots.
  • JJ Spaun, who finished runner-up at the 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational, carded a 68 to sit five back.

“It’s a dream come true to be able to play in this team, and I really enjoyed playing with two teammates this week “
