W่วย Wanye Alive on the road, a decade of off-road adventures, and now, a tragic end. Stacey and Matt, known for their Toyota World Runners channel, have left the off-road community shattered with their untimely demise on Aug. 7.
Kaslo Search and Rescue Reacts
Mark Jennings-Bates, manager of Kaslo Search and Rescue (SAR), confirmed the incident. Rescue teams were dispatched around 7:30 p.m. local time on Aug. 7 to a remote forestry road in the mountains near Trout Lake, B.C.
“It was a long journey, but they got there efficiently. When we arrived, one of the individuals had no vital signs, and the other was airlifted to hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries.”
Mark Jennings-Bates, Kaslo SAR Manager
Jennings-Bates believes the cause of the accident was a loss of vehicle control on rough terrain, a reminder of the potential risks and importance of cautious driving in mountainous regions.
