Tournament Postponed Due to Heat Wave

The Diputación de Ourense has announced the postponement of the 3×3 basketball tournament, originally scheduled for August 12 in Viana do Bolo. The event, aimed at participants from Trives, Viana, and Verín, has been moved to August 24 as a precautionary measure against the heat wave sweeping the province.

In a statement, the Diputación de Ourense noted, “Given the high temperatures forecast for this weekend, we believe it’s prudent to postpone the tournament to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.”

Registration and Format

The tournament, a collaboration between the Diputación and the Galician Basketball Federation, remains free and open to participants of all ages and regions. In the coming days, a new registration period will be announced via the federation’s official website (FEGABA).
