After three defeats in a row, Bari raises its head again and returns to celebrate the three points thanks to the 2-0 home success against Spezia.
An end to the year with a bang for Moreno’s team, who on the eve of this match against the Ligurians, the third force in the Serie B championship (so far defeated on only one occasion), certainly did not start as favourites. Instead, with one of the best performances of the season, in terms of attention and competitive ferocity, she managed to obtain a fully deserved result.
Bari-Spezia 2-0, the report cards: Falletti the best. High marks for Simic, Dorval and Benali
The main signature on the victory is that of César Falletti, one of the players who until now had been less convincing, and who today, in addition to offering many useful plays, took center stage by converting the penalty kick which at the end of the first half gave the advantage to Bari, and in the second half he caused Wisniewski’s own goal which put his team’s game further downhill.
Thanks to this victory, Bari momentarily rose to sixth place, reaching 27 points together with Carrarese. After this round, Serie B stops for a short break: the resumption of the championship is scheduled for January 12th, with the Galletti’s journey resuming away against Reggiana. In between the opening of the winter transfer market, from which the fans hope reinforcements will arrive to further climb positions in the standings.
