[서울=뉴시스] Reporter Kim Hee-jun = Bae Gil-tae, former professional basketball head coach of Suwon KT, was appointed as the new head coach of the 3-on-3 men’s basketball team.
The Korea Basketball Association announced on the 15th, “At the 6th full board deliberation held on the 14th, the proposal to appoint Coach Bae Gil-tae as the full-time coach of the 3-on-3 men’s basketball team was approved.”
The association said that it held a 3-on-3 Basketball Performance Improvement Committee on the 8th and conducted interviews with a total of 3 candidates (Bae Gil-tae, Kim Seong-hyun, and Han Tae-hee), saying, “We conducted interviews and evaluations for about 4 hours to ensure a transparent and fair review.” He emphasized.
New coach Bae Gil-tae, who played for Cheongju SK, Changwon LG, Daegu Orions, Wonju Dongbu (now DB), and Jeonju KCC, worked as a KCC manager and DB power analyst after retirement.
He has worked as a KT coach since 2018, and served as head coach in 2021.
Coach Bae will begin preparations for the 2025 International Basketball Federation (FIBA) 3-on-3 Asia Cup to be held in Singapore in March next year.
