Women and men start at Oelsnitz in Vogtland Central German Championships in judo. the Aumaer JSV adults are represented by Max Büchner. The 18-year-old placed first in the state championships a month ago and qualified for this competition.
The other 14 fighters weighed up to 66 kilos. Max Büchner The tournament started with a loss. Dornick from Leipzig managed to defeat him after three minutes of fighting time. Now is the time for the hope round and thus preserve the chance of the medal. The Auma children’s coach managed to hold his own against Kleint (Weixdorf), Windrich (Lichtenberg) and Philip Matros (Taucha) and showed his top form. Max Büchner won all fights early.
Now it’s time to put Erik Sotnikov from Leipzig in his place. Max Büchner took less than twelve seconds to clear the situation on the mat with a Koshi-guruma (hip throw where you grab the opponent’s head). The first place on the podium and thus the bronze medal was perfect for Max Büchner.
This result entitles the Auma native to compete in the German Championships in Stuttgart in mid-October. However, due to an internship abroad, the apprentice plumber cannot take advantage of this opportunity.
The student athlete will prevail in the final
We also had a great day in Oelsnitz Flynt Beck. The student athlete managed to win against eleven competitors in the class above 66 kilograms. After victories against Bomke (Tangermünde), the strong Wiesenberger from Leipzig and Kachur from Halle, he met the heavier Max-Leon Poschen from JV Ippon Rodewisch in the final.
Flynt Beck initially fell, but bounced back. In close combat, he used an O-uchi-gari (a leg technique where the opponent’s supporting leg is sickled), grabbed Poschen and threw him to the mat. Flynt Beck is Central Germany’s best fighter in the U15 super heavyweight division. There is still no German championship in this age group.
The only eleven year old Eric Webernational winner in U13 and runner-up U15, Vogtland also wants to know. After a bye, he won his opening fight against blue belt Erik Kammer (Lichtenberg) up to 43 kg.
In the semifinals he lost to eventual winner Röschig from SV Halle – but this was controversial as the referee was probably wrong to award points in favor of Röschig. In the fight for third place against Luke Büttner, Eric Weber was once again left behind. So in the end it was a respectable fifth place.
