ATP Dallas: Terence Atmane’s Fight, Despite Tough Draw and Winless Streak
Tugeh Draw and Winless Streak
ATP Dallas got underway Monday with French hopeful Terence Atmane facing a daunting task against American seed Frances Tiafoe. Despite his winless streak this season, Atmane, ranked 64th, showed no signs of backing down from the challenge.
Atmane, 24, has been through a rough patch with no wins in 2026, including a first-round exit at the Australian Open. Dallas served as his latest challenge, where he was matched against the 30th-ranked Tiafoe, the 2025 finalist and 8th seed of the tournament.
Atmane Holds First Set, Then Falters
Atmane gave a good account of himself, grabbing the first set against the powerful American. However, much like his Australian Open encounter, his momentum dwindled. Tiafoe asserted his dominance in the following two sets, clinching the victory 4–6, 6–2, 6–2 in his favor.
