We are exactly 235 days away from the start of the second edition of the Junior Pan American Games, which in 2025 will be held in Asunción, Paraguay.
While the Organizing Committee and the organizing country work tirelessly on the construction of new venues, remodeling existing ones, and all the operational work required by this great sporting event, Panam Sports announces the Sports Calendar for this continental event.
In total there will be 28 sports and 43 disciplines that will take part in this sporting event. Unlike the first edition of Cali 2021, there will be four new sports: Field Hockey, Golf, Rugby and Water Skiing / Wakeboard. In addition, 2 disciplines are added, BMX Freestyle and 5v5 Basketball.
This is how in Asunción the following sports and disciplines are considered: Diving, Swimming, Artistic Swimming, Open Water, Archery, Athletics, Badminton, Handball, 3×3 Basketball, 5v5 Basketball, Canoeing/Kayaking Speed, Bmx Racing, BMX Freestyle, Mountainbike, Track Cycling, Road Cycling, Fencing, Golf, Gymnastics Artistic, Rhythmic Gymnastics, Trampoline, Hockey, Judo, Kumite Karate, Rowing, Rugby, Sailing, Shooting Sports, Figure Skating, Speed Skating, Skateboarding, Squash, Table Tennis, Taekwondo, Tennis, Triathlon, Weightlifting, Water Skiing/Wakeboard , Wrestling, Volleyball and Beach Volleyball.
Regarding the number of athletes who will participate in ASU2025, 4,206 athletes are expected, who will stay in the different hotels that exist in the Paraguayan capital and in the different venues outside Asunción.
The venues that will host the different competitions are the Olympic Park (the largest with 21 disciplines), the SND, Encarnación, San Bernardino, Rakiura Resort and the Bay and Costanera of Asunción.
The Opening Ceremony of the 2025 Junior Pan American Games is scheduled for Saturday, August 9 at the La Nueva Olla stadium in Asunción and the Closing Ceremony for August 23 at a location yet to be defined.
