Anzio Police Crack Down on Drug and Weapon Offenses

Anzio, Italy – A recent operation by the Carabinieri of the Anzio Company resulted in two arrests and multiple citations related to drug and weapon offenses, as well as labor violations, authorities reported Friday.

Drug and Weapon Seizures in Europa District

The Carabinieri conducted an extraordinary territorial control operation focused on crime prevention and suppression, particularly in densely populated areas. During the operation, two individuals were taken into custody.

A 36-year-old man, without a fixed address, was apprehended in the Europa district after being found in possession of 3.8 grams of crack cocaine. The drugs were divided into 10 plastic wrappers and concealed inside the hood of his jacket.

Alongside the police operation, inspectors from the Rome Labor Inspectorate Unit conducted inspections at two commercial establishments.

Near Porto Innocenziano, three workers were identified, one of whom was found to be employed off the books. Authorities ordered the employer to regularize the employee’s position within a specified timeframe, and administrative sanctions totaling 6,400 euros were imposed.
