In this anecdote he talks about how players want solutions to situations that occur in the game.
“Many players want a clear score: if this happens, I’ll do this. So use a smaller percentage of their brain. Why? Because it costs effort and the brain burns much more energy than the legs. It consumes you.
I like, and I think it’s winning, basketball where you react in real time on the court. If your defender marks you like this, you will do this. If he brands you in a different way, then you will do something else. When players understand that the details you are instilling in them make them better players every day, they follow you.”
The one with the wedge ball was love at first sight. Once I hung up my shoes, I decided to train the new generations to stay in this fantastic world. And being able to write about basketball is a pleasure and an honor.
