With a very high number of participants, the 2024-2025 edition of the Lourdes Tennis Club Christmas tournament was a great success. The winners were crowned on January 5.

For the tenth edition of the Christmas tournament organized by the Tennis Club of Lourdes, Thierry Brissot, the president, was very satisfied during the prize giving ceremony on Sunday January 5.

230 players took part, i.e. 240 matches organized on two courts with 25 matches per day. He thanked the players from the Lourdes club who came in large numbers as well as those from Bagnères and Ossun, who were present every year.

He also thanked Eddy Rambeau who produced the daily trombinoscope of the Facebook page for monitoring the competitions, the referee, Charles Saint-Hubert, faithful every year but also the entire office for his commitment and his quality welcome which is specific to Lourdes.

He reminded that the outdoor court and pickleball courts should be ready in February if the weather permits and that the next tennis event is the Aiglons tournament from February 12 to March 1 (under 18s).

The mayor, Thierry Lavit, highlighted the positive atmosphere of the club, with volunteers at the heart of the action and quality supervision. Mohamed Dilmi, deputy for sport, confirmed that the project is reaching the end “thanks to constructive exchanges, we had to be patient. It is a real spectacle to see players from all generations, with exchanges of experiences that herald a quality future.”
