Promoting Girls’ Basketball Across Calabria

Calabria will celebrate International Women’s Day with a special focus on girls’ basketball through the We Want to Play Basket initiative, organized by the Minibasketball sector of the Italian Basketball Federation. Events are scheduled for Sunday, March 8, 2026, in both Siderno and Catanzaro.

Event Details

The all-female Minibasketball festival aims to involve more girls, families, and sports clubs, transforming playgrounds into spaces for fun, inclusion, and growth. Events will run from 10 am to 12 pm at the Marconi Institute gym in Siderno and Pala Pulerà Giovino in Catanzaro.

The morning will be dedicated to play, enthusiasm, and sharing, allowing young basketball players to experience the joy of the sport without competitive pressure.
