The Aljaraque Municipal Sports Pavilion, Mayor Juan Manuel Orta Prieto, was the center of attention this weekend as it hosted the provincial junior women’s basketball final phase. Four teams – SDA Aljaraque, Ciudad de Huelva, Servi 2 La Palma, and Ciudad de Palos – battled for a coveted spot in the Andalusian championship.
The local team, SDA Aljaraque, delivered a strong performance throughout the regular season. While they ultimately fell short of qualifying for the Andalusian championship, losing to Servi 2 La Palma and the eventual champions, Ciudad de Huelva, they secured a notable victory on Saturday, defeating Ciudad de Palos.
