Alem Yuma: The Rising Star of Argentine Judo

  Alem Yuma, an 18-year-old judoka from Manuel Gonnet, Argentina, has been making waves in the Argentine judo scene with his impressive performances. Born into a judo-loving family—his parents, Fernando Yuma and Elizabeth Copes, were also judo practitioners—Yuma has judo in his blood.

<h2>Bronze medals and growing</h2>

  Yuma followed up his Pan American Cup victory with two bronze medals in the -81 kg category. He achieved this feat in the Juniors Asunción 2025, Paraguay Games, and the Argentine High Performance Games (Jadar) in Rosario, respectively.

  Beyond judo, Yuma is also involved in handball, having represented the Argentine handball team and currently practicing in student categories. Academically, he's pursuing a degree in Economic Sciences at the National University of La Plata.
