Farid Al-Dosari, member of the Board of Directors of the Bahrain Table Tennis Federation and Chairman of the Referees Committee, confirmed that the Board of Directors has set a clear vision for the development of the refereeing cadre during the coming years, which confirms the excellence of the Bahraini table regionally, continentally and globally.
Farid Al-Dosari said that the Federation is working to hold specialized training courses for referees, in addition to increasing the number of participation in foreign tournaments in addition to the international and regional tournaments that the Federation is working to host in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
Farid Al-Dosari explained that frequent participation, especially in competitive tournaments, is the most important possible means for the table tennis referee to gain experience and the ability to be at the level of international referees who participate in managing the most powerful tournaments in the world.
Farid Al-Dosari praised the efforts made by the federation’s refereeing staff in managing matches, stressing that the efficiency of the Bahraini referee is an essential factor in the level of excellence that the game of table tennis has achieved in recent years. He added, “We have 22 male and female referees at the present time. We aim to increase the refereeing staff and increase the number of our referees.” internationals in the future.
