Born to a French mother and Israeli father, Nissim spent his youth in Israel but was deeply immersed in French culture. “We regularly made trips to France in the summer, especially to go see my grandmother,” Nissim recalls.

In 20 minutes, he scored a staggering 27 points against Béarnais Élan de Freddy Fondhoux and half of the final to overcome Nancy.

After retiring, he launched Win Assit, an association that uses sports to help people injured or traumatized by war. “Basketball can be a solution. We help people injured or traumatized by the war, the disabled. This brings positivity in their lives,” Nissim explains.

A well-respected figure in Israeli basketball, Nissim shares his insights on the current Israeli national team. With a new, talented, and athletic generation, he predicts tight games against France. “I see an open match but favorite France anyway: 60-40 for the Blues.”
