Adrien Dumont de Chassart managed to pass the cut of the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, a PGA Tour tournament worth $9.5 million, after the second round on Friday in McKinney, Texas.

The Walloon Brabançon, 24, returned for the second consecutive day a card of 67, four under par, thanks to six birdies for two bogeys. With his total of 134, eight under par, he occupies 25th place. This is obviously very good news for the Villersois who is striving to grab good points at the FedEx Cup to maintain his place on the world’s leading circuit.

Thomas Detry, 96th after a first round in 70 shots, also reached the clubhouse in 67 shots after a flawless round and four birdies. He moved up to 67th position, with a total of 137, five under par. However, it is one shot too many to reach the last two rounds.

American Jake Knapp took the lead with a total of 128, 14 under par. He is ahead of his compatriot Troy Merritt, author of the best score of the day (62), and the Englishman Matt Wallace by one stroke.
