Golf’s Future Stars Converge in Mar del Plata for 20th Junior National Tournament

The Big Event

The 20th edition of the Junior National Tournament (TNJ) is set to tee off in Mar del Plata this Thursday and Friday, bringing together young golfers from across Argentina and neighboring countries. This prestigious event is a true celebration of youth golf, where competition meets fun.

New Initiatives

For the first time, the TNJ will have its own dedicated website, torneonacionaljunior.aag.org.ar, where you can find all the latest news and information about the tournament.

In addition, an international team tournament between Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay has been added to the lineup. The Argentine team will be led by Francesco Ciccola (Mar y Sierras Regional Golf Federation) and Amahia Fiuri (Golf Federation of the Province of Córdoba) based on their Under 15 rankings. The Eagles and Birdies teams will be selected via a classification round on Wednesday.

The TNJ Legacy

Since its inception in 2005, the TNJ has been a beacon of junior golf in the region. Only in 2020, due to COVID-19, was the tournament unable to take place. This year’s event continues a proud tradition of bringing together young talent and promoting the spirit of the game.

“This tournament is a true festival of children’s golf, in which competition and the true recreational spirit of golf coexist.”
