2026 CNU Championships: Pisa’s University Sports Center Set to Shine

Pisa’s University Sports Center, Cus Piemonte Orientale, will host the 2026 National University Championships (CNU).

Pisa to Host 2026 CNU Championships

The most anticipated Italian university sporting event, the National University Championships (CNU), has announced its 2026 host: Pisa’s University Sports Center, Cus Piemonte Orientale. From May 22 to 31, 2026, Pisa will welcome over fifty Italian University Sports Centers and their athletes to the vibrant Tuscan city.

Who Can Participate and What Sports Are Included?

Eligible participants are male and female students of any nationality, born between 1998 and 2008, and currently enrolled in a recognized university course, including master’s degrees, doctorates, and specialization schools. Graduates in the competition year are also welcome. The CNU program features both individual and team sports:

  • Individual sports: Athletics, Judo, Karate, Wrestling, Fencing, Taekwondo, Tennis, Table Tennis, Shooting, and Shooting.
  • Team sports: Volleyball, Basketball, and Five-a-side Football.

Qualification and Selection Processes

Team sports will go through preliminary selections and qualification phases between February and May 2026. Individual sports, however, will directly access the national final. This presents an exciting opportunity for athletes to compete at the highest Italian university level. Selection is also open to university-registered athletes belonging to other sports clubs.
