This event is a fantastic opportunity to bring together the best young badminton talent from across the country, fostering friendship, competition, and growth.
The Event’s Impact and Vision
- Guided by China’s General Administration of Sports and co-organized by the National Youth Sports Federation, this event attracted nearly 2,000 athletes and entourage members from more than 150 teams across the country, as well as over 130 young badminton players from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan.
- It aims to build a high-level platform for young elite badminton players and create a bridge for athletes from across the Taiwan Strait and Hong Kong and Macao to connect, understand, and deepen their friendship through the game.
- With a vision to build Shanghang County into a “National Youth Sports Event City,” this event is another stride in implementing the spirit of the General Administration of Sports of China’s “Measures on Supporting Fujian to Accelerate the Construction of Cross-Strait Sports Integration Development Demonstration Zone.”
Sports Tourism Integration
In addition to the badminton event, the competition has created a new trend of “traveling with events.” Through the innovative model of “using competitions to attract traffic, gathering people with competitions, and promoting travel with competitions,” it actively held various events and launched tourism preferential policies, integrating sports, culture, tourism, catering, retail, and other formats.
This has effectively promoted the deep integration of sports events with cultural, tourism, catering, retail, and other formats, giving birth to new sports tourism formats, accelerating resource integration, driving the sales of local specialty products, and using sports empowerment to drive economic growth.
