Indiana Wesleyan’s Senior Stars in Women’s Volleyball All-America Teams and Individual Awards
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – History was made at the NAIA Women’s Volleyball Championships as Indiana Wesleyan’s **Eva Joldersma** became the first player to win the Player of the Year award three times in a row. The incredible seniors took center stage as the 2025 NAIA Women’s Volleyball All-America Teams and individual awards were announced.
Eva Joldersma’s Extraordinary Season
“Joldersma’s impact was immediate upon her return from injury. She recorded double-digit kills in 20 matches and surpassed 20 kills on six occasions. Her efficiency was remarkable, hitting over .300 in eight matches and peaking at .563.”
After missing 10 matches due to injury, Joldersma returned with a fire that led Indiana Wesleyan to a remarkable record of 32-1, culminating in the team’s third consecutive Red Banner. The outside hitter averaged an astonishing 4.74 kills per set, hitting .324 with 46 total blocks and 2.42 digs per set.

- Zavyr Metzger of Northwestern (Iowa) was named Defender of the Year, posting multiple blocks in nearly every match and boasting a season-best 12 total blocks.

Indiana Wesleyan’s head coach, Candace Moats, was recognized for guiding her team to an extraordinary season marked by resilience and dominance, culminating in a third consecutive Red Banner.
