H1: Thousands Gather in Da Nang for International Yoga Program, Celebrating Unity and Health
DA NANG, Vietnam — Over a thousand yoga enthusiasts, instructors, and fans converged in the vibrant city of Da Nang for the International Yoga Program, an event that seamlessly blended culture, health, and camaraderie.
Unifying Through Yoga: A Global Common Health
The program, organized by the Union of Friendship Organizations and the Vietnam-India Friendship Association, in coordination with the Indian embassy in Vietnam, brought together 52 local yoga centers, clubs, and enthusiasts, along with Indian experts, tourists, and international friends residing in Da Nang.
“This event has strengthened the bond between Da Nang and India, promoting Indian cultural values in yoga, while fostering physical health and tourism,” said Nguyen Thi Anh Thi, Vice President of the Da Nang Popular Committee.

Celebrating Health and Unity Through Yoga
The event began with a traditional Indian lamp-lighting ceremony, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness. Participants then synchronized in practicing Indian yoga protocols, accompanied by the rhythmic song “Hello Vietnam.” The harmony and grace of the movements evoked a sense of tranquility and unity.
Among the participants was Mrs. Tran Thi, a four-year yoga practitioner who expressed her joy at the growing popularity of yoga in Da Nang. “It’s wonderful to see more people, including men, embracing this sport. I hope we’ll have more events like this,” she said.

Yoga’s Growing Impact in Da Nang
Da Nang’s rapidly expanding yoga community has led to an increase in international yoga events and training centers. “Yoga offers various styles, but the basics are soft and slow movements,” said Le Minh Phung, a yoga instructor. “Patience and perseverance are key to mastering yoga.”
In response to the growing demand, coach training centers have been established. Plans are underway to further organize large-scale tournaments and international events, ultimately making yoga one of Da Nang’s most popular sports.
