Uchnik vs Dyuba Revanche: Bashir’s Take on the Blockbuster Bout

Uchnik-Dyuba Revanche: A Fight of Equals

In a recent interview, James Ali Bashir, the renowned American trainer of Ukrainian heavyweight Vladyslav Sirenko, shared his thoughts on the upcoming rematch between undisputed cruiserweight champion Oleksandr Uskik (23-0, 14 KOs) and British IBF titleholder Daniel Dubois (22-2, 21 KOs) on July 19 in London.

“I believe it’s going to be a good fight because Daniel Dubois is a young talent. In his last three fights, he’s shown what he’s capable of, with three early stoppages. Having that momentum has brought him to this fight against the experienced Alexander Uskik. It’s a dynamic skill matchup. Right now, it’s a 50-50 fight between an older fighter in Uskik and a younger fighter in Dubois.” – James Ali Bashir

Bashir expects the first three rounds to set the tone for the rest of the fight. However, he refrains from making a prediction, citing his past work with both fighters.

Bashir: Fyuri Should Face Klitschko Instead of Uskik Triliogy

When asked about Tyson Fyuri’s desire for a trilogy with Uskik, Bashir was quick to dismiss the idea, advocating for a rematch against former heavyweight champion Vladimir Klitschko instead.

“The fights between Alexander Uskik and Tyson Fyuri are over. I’d like to see Tyson Fyuri against his old nemesis, Vladimir Klitschko. Vladimir is still in great shape and thinks he can beat Tyson. That would be a grudge match, a fight of the old school.” – James Ali Bashir

The Next Big Thing: Vladyslav Sirenko

Bashir shifted the focus to his current charge, Ukrainian heavyweight prospect Vladyslav Sirenko (22-0, 19 KOs), whom he believes is the next big thing in the heavyweight division.

“I feel that Vladyslav Sirenko is the next big sensation from Ukraine. It’s only a matter of time. He’s our focus now, and we’re ready for any challenge. We want to win this fight in a good style, but we know that Vladyslav Sirenko is the future of heavyweight boxing.” – James Ali Bashir
