In the announcement shared by the New Zealand Basketball Federation, the qualifications required for candidates who want to become a head coach are as follows:
- Have at least assistant coaching experience at the ANBL, NBA or EuroLeague level or have served as a head coach in New Zealand League or international basketball
- Experience working with written and visual media
- Competence in strategic and operational planning
- Strong strategic vision, excellent problem solving and decision making skills
- Excellent interpersonal relations, communication skills (strong presentation and report writing skills)
The Federation also stated that the application deadline is 23 August 2024.
