A Pioneering Circuit with a Rich History
The inaugural edition of this groundbreaking circuit in Spanish youth tennis was won by Juan Carlos Ferrero. Today, the circuit boasts over 5,000 participants, many of whom come from the academy of renowned coach Carlos Alcaraz. When asked about their favorite tennis player, 16-year-old players often mention Alcaraz. Additionally, young Coco Gauff has been a popular figure among the participants at the Ciudad de la Raqueta in Madrid since November 2. Notably, Pere Riba, the former coach of the brand new US Open champion, has also competed in this tournament.
Several prominent Spanish tennis players have emerged from this circuit. In fact, five of the players who will represent Spain in the upcoming Billie Jean King Cup have previously participated in this tournament. Furthermore, many of the tennis players who represented Spain in the group stage of the Davis Cup Finals have also competed in this event.
