The Executive Board of the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) set date for the return of football following the death of Nacional player Juan Izquierdo, after suffering a cardiac arrest in a Copa Libertadores match.
The return of activity in Uruguay will take place three weeks after the last match, which was played by Defensor Sporting and Rampla Juniors, at the Franzini, at the close of the first date of the Clausura Tournament.
The match that Rampla won 2-1 was played on Sunday, August 18.
The second match was scheduled to take place on Saturday 24th and Sunday 25th, but was suspended because Izquierdo was hospitalized in critical condition.
The return of football was then rescheduled for August 31 and September 1, and was also postponed because the teams had suspended training affected by what happened with the Nacional defender.

The next activity will be for the AUF Uruguay Cup, the Wednesday, September 11when Peñarol visits Piriápolis at the Domingo Burgueño Miguel.
The third date of the Clausura Tournament will be played on the weekend of September 14 and 15.
