We CARE: the Unahotels Reggio Emilia Basketball team visited the pediatric department of Santa Maria Nuova
The red and white delegation consisting of athletes Matteo Chillo and Kwan Cheatham, together with the coordinator of the We CaRE project Emanuele Maccaferri, brought gifts and smiles to the young patients hospitalized in the Department of Pediatrics in Santa Maria Nuova Arcispedale in Reggio Emilia this afternoon.
The two players improvised “Befane”, a few days in advance, delivering gifts and taking moments to share with children who are hospitalized during this holiday season. The initiative is part of the We CaRE project, thanks to the collaboration of the associations in close contact with the reality of the hospital such as “Progetto Pulcino”, “Casina dei Bimbi” and “Curare Onlus”, whose contacts – Cristiana Magnani , Claudia Nasi and Roberta Castagnetti – participated in the meeting.
Also present were Giorgio Mazzi, Director of the Provincial Hospital Unit, Alessandro De Fanti, Director of the Pediatrics Unit with first aid for the child, and Danilo Gnone, coordinator of the Paediatrics department, who enthusiastically welcomed the visit to UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia, which underlines the importance of initiatives that are able to provide opportunities for peace to children and their families.
