FPT Play Lands Exclusive NBA Deal for Vietnam

FPT Play has secured exclusive broadcasting rights to the National Basketball Association (NBA) in Vietnam for the next six seasons, starting in 2022. This is the second such agreement between the two parties.

What’s in Store for Vietnamese NBA Fans?

For the first time, Vietnamese basketball enthusiasts will be able to watch:

• Every preseason, regular season, and play-in tournament game
• The NBA Finals and other special events like the NBA All-Star Weekend and Draft

The season will kick off with exciting games like Warriors vs Lakers, Houston Rockets vs Oklahoma City Thunder, and more.

Improved NBA Schedule Awaits

From the 209-226 selected games per season, the new schedule will feature:

• 180 regular season games
• 22-34 playoff games
• 7 NBA Cup Finals/Play-in Tournament games
• 5 preseason games

This means Vietnamese fans can enjoy almost daily NBA action.

NBA’S New Focus on Younger Audiences

Starting with the 2022-2023 season, the NBA is implementing changes to promote its image in Asia, particularly with Generation Z. Their partnership with FPT Play aims to attract a broader audience.
