Warriors March On, Orlando Magic Secures Playoff Spot; Grizzlies’ Loss Keeps Door Open for Western Seeding Race

Warriors Clinch, Magic Soar as Playoffs Near

The chase for the NBA playoff spots heated up as the Orlando Magic solidified their position in the Eastern Conference, while the Golden State Warriors maintained their status in the Western Conference. Here’s a recap of the action:

Magic Muskets Hawks, Secure Seventh Seed

Orlando Magic dominated the Atlanta Hawks at home, winning 120-95 and sealing the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. Led by coach Jamahl Mosley, the Magic displayed excellent depth and resilience, outscoring Atlanta’s second unit 57-30.

Cole Anthony led the Magic with a stellar 26-point, 3-rebound, 6-assist performance. Meanwhile, Trae Young scored 28 points for the Hawks but was ejected after receiving two technical fouls in the final quarter.

We just didn’t have enough tonight. Orlando played great, and we couldn’t find our rhythm.

The Magic will now face the Boston Celtics in the first round, beginning April 20 at the TD Garden.

While the Hawks’ season ispending on the outcome of the Miami Heat vs. Chicago Bulls game on Friday, they still have a chance to extend their playoff run.

Warriors Hold Off Grizzlies, Face Rockets in Round One

The Golden State Warriors overcame a tough challenge from the Memphis Grizzlies, securing a 121-116 victory and maintaining their stance as the top seed in the Western Conference.

Though the Warriors seemed in control during the first half, Memphis fought back, making it a close game. Jimmy Butler started strong but cooled off later, finishing with 38 points. Stephen Curry came through in the clutch, dropping 37 points, 8 rebounds, and 4 assists to seal the win.
