Voltregà Movento Stern to Face Porto Fidelidade in Continental Cup Final
The Voltregà Movento Stern team will compete in the final of the Continental Cup against Porto Fidelidade this Sunday. They secured their spot after defeating Valongo Colquimica, another Portuguese team, in the second semi-final. Gerard Teixidó scored twice, while Alex Rodriguez and Eric Vargas also contributed with goals in the 4-0 victory.
Catalan team Voltregà Movento Stern, who is hosting the tournament at the Pavelló Municipal d’Esports Victorià Oliveras de la Riva de Sant Hipòlit de Voltregà, took the lead after five minutes with a direct free kick converted by Gerard Teixidó (1-0).
Valongo Colquimica, the finalist in the previous edition of the Champions League, paid the price for their poor accuracy. They missed a penalty and a direct free kick, both taken by Joao Almeida, which could have changed the outcome of the match.

Voltregà Stern showed more efficiency in crucial moments, scoring two consecutive goals within twenty seconds. Alex Rodriguez made it 2-0 (min.44) from a penalty, and Èric Vergas extended the lead shortly after (3-0, min.44). Teixidó sealed the victory with a direct free kick (4-0, min.47).
In the final, Voltregà Stern, the current champion of the European Cup, will face Porto Fidelidade, the winner of the last edition of the Champions League. The title match will take place this Sunday at 12:15 p.m. Porto Fidelidade secured their spot in the final by defeating Braga in the first semifinal with a score of 6-1.
