Vivah Panchami 2024: Vivah Panchami is celebrated every year in the month of Margashirsha. Margashirsha month is also called Agahan month. It is believed that the festivals falling in this month are very special. Vivah Panchami is celebrated in this month. According to the belief, Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita were tied in the sacred bond of marriage on the fifth day of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month and since then every year this day is celebrated as Vivah Panchami. When is Vivah Panchami? Vivah Panchami Date
According to the Panchang, the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Margashirsha month is starting on Thursday, 5th September at 12:49 PM and this Tithi will end the next day on 6th December, Friday at 12:07 PM. In such a situation, keeping in mind the Udaya Tithi, Vivah Panchami will be celebrated on 6th December and on this day, Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita will be worshiped as per the rituals (Vivah Panchami Puja).
Auspicious events are taking place on Vivah Panchami.
This year, two auspicious yogas are going to be formed on Vivah Panchami. On this day, Sarvartha Siddhi Yoga is going to be formed from 7 am to 5.18 pm and after this, there will be Ravi Yoga from 5.18 pm till 7.01 am the next day on 7th December. These yogas are considered very auspicious. Dhruva Yoga and Abhijeet Muhurta will also fall on this day.

On Vivah Panchami, Brahma Muhurta will start from 5.12 am in the morning and will continue till 6.06 am. After this, Abhijeet Muhurta will be from 11:51 am to 12:33 pm. Vivah Panchami can be worshiped in this auspicious time. On this day, Vijay Muhurta will be from 1:56 pm to 2:38 pm. This Muhurta is also auspicious for worship.
Marriage is not done on Vivah Panchami
It is believed that marriage should not be done on the day of Vivah Panchami. This is because the married life of Lord Shri Ram and Mother Sita was full of troubles. Therefore it is said to refrain from getting married on this day.
