Villa de Cuellar Open 2019: Golfers from Multiple Provinces Compete for Top Honors

she Golf Course in Villa de Cuellar hosted the development of the tenth edition of its Open, which showed almost 80 participants from all the provinces of Castilla y León, Madrid and Castilla la Mancha.

On Friday, August 2, the day started with 23 participants in the morning and eight more in the afternoon. On Saturday, up to 43 golfers competed.

After the first day, Alberto de Antonio stood with a -4 card that put him in a good position for Sunday’s finale. Followed by Toño Muñoz, Javier Llorente and Daniel Ramos.

For the handicap classification, Javier Díaz, Alfonso Avellón and Jonathan Sánchez had good results.

The final began on Sunday, August 4, with 52 participants having a perfect day for golf practice.

The first Scratch finisher was Alberto from Antonio Palermo and the second was José Antonio Muñoz, both from Villa de Cuéllar Golf Club.

The first 1st Category Handicap classified was Eduardo Corral García from the local club, the second Jonathan Sánchez Pastor from Valdemazo Golf Club and the third Javier Arévalo from the local club. In the second category, the first place was the local player Antonio Ramos and the second Sven Cramer from the Villa de Cuéllar Club,

The first in the second Handicap category is Javier Díaz from the Federation of Castilla y León. Among the women, the first to be classified was Yolanda Valbuena from La Galera Golf Club.
