The University of Minnesota’s women’s basketball team is thrilled to announce a significant addition to their roster: Tracey Bershers, a 6-foot, 2-inch forward transferring from UAB. Bershers will join her sister, Zoey, creating an exciting sibling duo on the court.
“We are so excited that Tracey is going to join our Gopher women’s basketball family for her graduate year.”

Tracey: A Versatile Post Player
Bershers brings a wealth of experience to the Gophers, having played the past three seasons at UAB. Here are some of her notable stats:
- Normally played 17 minutes per game over 32 appearances in the 2022-23 season.
- Scored a career-high 22 points in a game against Mississippi Valley State, having seven double-digit scoring games in total.

Before UAB, Bershers saw limited action at Oklahoma State due to injury, and her high school career culminated in two state titles with Northside High School, where she was named MVP her senior year.
Tracey’s Perspective
“Choosing Minnesota was bigger than just basketball. From day one, the coaches made me feel like family, and I truly believe in the vision they have for me and this program. There’s no better place for me to grow, compete, and be part of something special.”
