Sports Uniting Events Aim to Revitalize Regions Hit by February 6 Earthquakes

The Türkiye Basketball Federation (TBF), in collaboration with Türkiye insurance, is organizing 3×3 basketball tournaments in Hatay, Gaziantep, Kahramanmaraş, and Adıyaman to boost morale and physical activity among young people in the earthquake-devastated regions.

“This project aims to reintegrate people into active sports life, increase their social interactions, and contribute to their physical development, all with the spirit of solidarity and unity.”

Tournament Details and Calendar

  • Participating teams: 24 teams from each province.
  • Team composition: 4 players per team.
  • Tournament format: Group matches followed by single-elimination play-offs to decide provincial champions.

Tournament Calendar:

  • 3-4 May: Hatay and Gaziantep
  • 10-11 May: Kahramanmaraş and Adıyaman
  • May 18: Final in Istanbul Basketball Development Center (BGM)
