On his 55th birthday, Vladislav Todorov led the national volleyball team under the age of 16 for the first training session of the year. The selector came home on Thursday from Norway, where he works and lives, and literally arrived at the hall from the airport.
He was greeted with greetings for his personal celebration by the girls, and the headquarters had also prepared a cake for the occasion. The session was held in the capital’s “Hristo Botev” hall, where from January 15 to 19 the qualification for the European Championship will be held in Tirana and Pristina (July 2-13).
The team had a short break for the New Year. 16 athletes continue training with the team, with one change. Karina Andreeva dropped out due to an old injury and a medical recommendation to rest. Ioana Yordanova was called in place of the “Lokomotiv” player (Sofia). The newcomer from “Danube” took part in the first micro camp last year and knows the situation in the team well.
