A man has died after suffering an accident with his vehicle on the PR-5 highway, at kilometer point 0.2, in Ozanes, Parres.
The Emergency Coordination Center received the notice at 12:16 a.m. The call indicated that a vehicle had fallen from the bridge and was in the water. The Eastern Fire Chief and the members of the Emergency Service of the Principality of Asturias (SEPA) based in Cangas de Onís were immediately mobilized, and they moved with the first exit vehicle and the multi-aid van.
Once at the scene, firefighters located the car in the riverbed and extracted an occupant from its interior, who ultimately died. Firefighters searched the area in case there was anyone else affected. It wasn’t like that.
The firefighter personnel ended the intervention upon their arrival at the base, at 2:00 a.m.
The SEPA room 112 reported the event to the Civil Guard and the Urgent Medical Care Service (SAMU), which mobilized the Mobile ICU in the area.
