Judoka enthusiasts, meet Dojo du Couserans, the rising stars of the judo world. The club’s young talents have been on a roll, showcasing their prowess and potential at recent major events.
Elite Training & National Tournament Prep
In an intense regimen befitting the elite, Mihaëla Niculaï and Liam Bertrandon recently wrapped up their preparations for the upcoming national Toulouse junior judo tournament, labeled A. The duo also completed an elite training course, with Niculaï securing an impressive 3rd place and Bertrandon following close behind in 7th.
“This last checkpoint helped analyze key aspects to make improvements and adjustments on technical, physical, and mental levels,” reported the club.
Departmental Judo Open: Lézat-sur-Lèze
agraced by multiple Dojo du Couserans judokas, the departmental judo open was a thrilling showcase of young talent. Check out the standout performances:
- Cadets: Stephen Dukes (1st) and Mathyss Sorman (2nd) closed out victories, with Cazaux Roman and Mind Day claiming 2nd and 3rd respectively.
- Minimes: Appoline Face (2nd) and Liam Bertrandon (2nd) put on impressive displays.
- Mini-poussins / poussins: First place went to Dina Berrouayel, Ewen Briole, and Eden Piques. Gabriel Bonaldo, Diana Gautier, and Emma Sepault Gaël nabbed 2nd, while Neïla Berrouayel, Tito Pago, Sacha Flieder, and Mimiague Zia Capel rounded out the podium with 3rd place finishes.
The Dojo du Couserans congratulated all contestants for their participation and laudable performances.
