The decision to proceed close to the deadline that would have sanctioned the dismissal of the investigation against the three responsible for the tender

The complaint was filed shortly before the deadline for the accident involving Alice Toniolli, the Trentino cyclist from Mezzocorona who three months ago crashed into a wall during a cycling race in Vittorio Veneto (Treviso), causing a severe head injury. The complaint, for very serious injuries – the Tribuna di Treviso reports today – was presented by the father, special guardian of his daughter, and was signed by the Top Girls athlete Fassa Bortolo herself. The investigation by the Treviso Prosecutor’s Office into the cycling accident, which occurred on 14 August, will thus be able to restart. The deputy prosecutor of Treviso, Michele Permunian, opened a file with three suspects: Giacomo Salvador, president of Cicloturistica Vittorio Veneto which had organized the race, the race director Giulio De Nardi and the deputy director Daniele Borsoi.

Without the party’s complaint, the proceeding would have risked being dismissed due to the incident. During the investigation, the aggravating circumstance relating to failure to comply with the regulations regarding the prevention of accidents at work was dropped, since the young woman is an amateur cyclist. The 19-year-old’s condition is clinically stable but the injuries are very serious and could be permanent.
