New Faces Unveiled: Saint-Boniface women’s basketball welcomes trio of recruits for 2025-26

Winnipeg, MB – The Université de Saint-Boniface has bolstered its women’s basketball roster with the signing of three promising recruits for the 2025-26 season. Marissa Smith (Kingston, NS), Ann Celeste (Winnipeg, MB), and Taylor Jacyk (Beausejour, MB) are set to don the Les Rouges uniform next year.

Ann Celeste

Position: Guard
Height: 5’3”
Hometown: Winnipeg, MB
Previous Team: Sisler High School & Jr. Wesmen

Celeste brings speed and creativity to Les Rouges’ backcourt, honed through her time with the Jr. Wesmen program.

Marissa Smith

Position: Guard
Height: 5’7”
Hometown: Kingston, NS
Previous Team: West Kings District High School & Piranhas

Smith joins Les Rouges with a solid competitive edge, boasting impressive stats from her time with the Piranhas club program in Nova Scotia.

Taylor Jacyk

Position: Guard
Height: 5’8”
Hometown: Beausejour, MB
Previous Team: Lord Selkirk Regional Secondary School & Chaos

Jacyk’s versatility and experience from her tenure with the Chaos club team will be a valuable addition to Les Rouges’ guards.
