Badminton for Kids: Morbihan’s Vol’ Oust Welcomes Younger Players
Expanding Horizons: Vol’ Oust Now Accepts Players Aged 9 to 13
After over a decade of catering exclusively to older youth, the Sports Association of Badminton Vol’ Oust is excited to announce its expansion to include younger players aged 9 to 13. This change, set to commence in the 2025-2026 season, marks a significant milestone for the association.
About the Association
Founded in 2002, Vol’ Oust brings together the municipalities of Malestroit, Bohal, Pleucadeuc, and Saint-Marcel in the Morbihan department. Up until now, it has not accepted licensees aged 14 or younger. However, with this new development, about 20 youngsters will be able to join the association this season, with a registration fee set at €50.
“Training will be supervised by a sports educator from Profession Sport 56 on Monday evenings,” reveals Benoît Jagut, the club’s treasurer, who has been in office since 2018.
Growth and Development: The Association’s Ambitions
Benoît Jagut attributes this change to the club’s president, François Payot, who took charge in 2024 with a vision to grow the association. Last year, around 100 people were registered across the four municipalities. Although no formal competitions are planned as of now, Vol’ Oust aims to collaborate with neighboring clubs to organize platforms.
