Carlos Nassar is definitely a phenomenon not only in weightlifting, but in sports in general! The 20-year-old Bulgarian from Cherven Bryag unquestionably won the world title in the category up to 89 kg and added it to the Olympic and European titles, which were also won more than convincingly this year.
In Bahrain’s capital city of Manama, Carlos achieved a 405 kg bout (183 kg in the throw and 222 in the push) with world records in the throw and in the bout.
The first one was the only one he didn’t own. In the video, you can see his emotion at now being the absolute master of the category.
