In a brief statement, the Government of Antioquia, through the Animal Protection and Welfare Management, called for the care of animals and recalled the existing sanctions for behaviors considered cruel and for procedures that cause suffering to animals.

In the same communication, the Antioquia Animal Protection and Welfare Management warns municipal administrations that corralejas cannot be carried out with public resources.
In Bajo Cauca, Antioquia, corralejas are traditional in towns such as Caucasia, Tarazá, Nechà and El Bagre; as in other towns in Urabá such as NecoclÃ, Chigorodó and Carepa.
The Government of Antioquia warns municipalities that carry out corralejas that they must comply with the terms of the law and regulations in force in these cases to avoid, as much as possible, inflicting suffering or mistreatment on the animals used in these events.
