The new club “Marek” (Dupnitsa) was unanimously accepted as a member of the Bulgarian Volleyball Federation. This happened at today’s meeting of the management board of the plant.

Immediately after that, the new club’s documents were submitted for registration to the Ministry of Youth and Sports. If it receives a license from the MCC in time, “Marek” will be able to participate in the upcoming general assembly of the federation, which will be held on September 28 in the “Vitosha” hall in the capital.

The chairman of the new club from Dupnitsa is Borislav Kyosev. The volleyball legend, together with the mayor of the city – Parvan Dangov, will welcome part of the BFW leadership on Monday. The event is scheduled for 6:00 p.m. in the “Dupnitsa” sports hall. It will be attended by children from the school, as well as representatives of the local municipality.

In “Marek” there are over 100 children willing to train. Kyosev pointed out that the club is starting from scratch and will develop young teams first. President Ganev has committed to provide balls for their needs, which will be donated at the meeting on Monday.

The old “Marek” moved to Plovdiv after a conflict with the city administration in Dupnitsa and is now called “Locomotive Avia”.
