The under-16 national team will play for 9th-16th place in the European Championship

Bulgaria’s national under-16 girls’ basketball team lost to the Netherlands 45:73 (6:14, 9:24, 17:10, 13:25) in their last match of Group “D” of the European Championship in Division “B” in the Turkish city of Konya.

The defeat left head coach Lachezar Kotsev’s basketball players in the penultimate fourth place in the stream with just one win and three losses. Thus, the Bulgarian women will play for distribution of places from 9th to 16th. The Dutch women, who finish the group in third place with two wins and two losses, will also play for the ninth position.
