Celebrating Sport in Chile: A Month-long Festival

In memory of the late deputy director, Cecilia Vivanco, the commune decided to honor her by offering an extensive range of sports activities, completely free of charge.
An Array of Sports and Attendees
- 92 workshops and academies offered free of charge, supported by six paid workshops, totaling 98 disciplines
- Attendees could enroll on the spot in various workshops
- Renowned athletes and coaches led clinics and workshops, including Camila Caram and Paz Gallo
Strengthening Rugby in Chile
The Reina municipal corporation signed a cooperation agreement with the Chilean Rugby Federation. The agreement aims to develop the sport of rugby in the commune.
Mayor’s Stance on Sports in the Commune
It is very important to develop strategies that motivate people. The habit of exercising is acquired, so it is very important to develop strategies to increase sports at all ages in the commune.– José Manuel Palacios, Mayor of Reina
Mayor Palacios himself demonstrated his skills in taekwondo during the event.
Director’s Vision: Sports for All Ages
“It is beautiful to see how the family meets around sport. There are mothers and fathers with their children by registering in one or more academies or workshops, where there is also a wide offer for older adults.” – Juvenal Olmos, Director of Reina Sports Corporation
