PSF Shines at CSSBE Badminton Championships
The Polyvalente Saint-François (PSF) badminton team delivered a stellar performance at the Centre de services scolaire de la Beauce-Etchemin (CSSBE) championships, securing victories across all age categories.
Dominance in Singles Competition
PSF athletes consistently reached the podium in the singles competition, showcasing their skill and dedication. Oksana Breton emerged victorious in the youngest girls’ category. The men’s division saw a thrilling final between twins Xavier and Alexis Pomerleau, with Xavier taking the top spot and Alexis finishing as runner-up.
Cadet and Juvenile Champions Crowned
Success continued in the cadet categories, where Kelly Lessard-Roy defeated Marilou Bouchard in the final. Olivier St-Gelais and Alexis Fortier also claimed victory in the men’s cadet section. In the juvenile category, Maxim Quirion finished first, ahead of Charles-Antoine Labrecque from Polyvalente Bélanger in Saint-Martin.
All-PSF Finals and Regional Qualification
The women’s juvenile final was an all-PSF affair, with Clara Gourde triumphing over Élodie Tanguay.
Following the championship, held on March 17 at the Bélanger high school, PSF earned the season banners for the benjamin, cadet, and juvenile categories. Several of these winners then represented the CSSBE at the Quebec – Chaudière Appalaches regional championship on March 28.
